Does anyone have a good route down toBenidorm? We don't want to use toll roads and would like some advice on which Aires to stop over in. We don't necessarily need electric. Thanks.

When you reach Irun, take the N121-A through to Pamplona and onto Zaragoza then onto Valencia and away you go. |Your Sat Nav will sort you out if you select no tolls.
The junction is immediately after you cross the border and, confusingly, it's signposted as junction 0 not junction 1 - so I missed this turning and followed the signs into Irun as I thought that Irun & Iruna were the same place - which they are not!

Thank you. That looks great. Do you know whether it's worth buying the camping key or the asci card?

We went this way when we went to La Manga in January. We stayed there 2 weeks and the ACSI card saved us loads just for that site
By the way, on the way down we used the following aires:
a) Marbone - small aire close to N10 but free and by a park for dog walking. Great boulangerie on main road. Service Point
b) Verteuil-sur-Charente - old village and chateau - aire in small park by the river - again free (narrow road through village and tight right hand turn to get to aire) - service point closed
c) Ondres Plage - right by beach - I think this was free too (out of season) - service point closed
d) In Spain - Teruel - big car park by Dinopolis - free - big supermarket at other end of car park and petrol station (with LPG) - no service point
e) Another useful stop in Spain (used it on the way back) is Cascante where there is signed motorhome parking in the public car park in the centre of town. There's a service point.
Have a great trip!

P.S. We used to live in Hanslope, MK

Here you go . This will get you through France.

and this will get you down to Beni.

We tried the above france route in April, it's ok until after Bordeaux then they whack you with 2 new toll sections ... our usual toll free route starts out the same round Paris but then pick up the N124 then D2020 and head for Claremont Ferond after that it's the free motorway past Millau to southern France and down the med coast with lots of nice places to stop

Not aware of the two new toll sections. We have always avoided the tolls until we get down near the bottom and pay the last 3 tolls which comes to a total of 8 euros. We have found avoiding these last tolls by going off the A63 is a nightmare. I've done the route you prefer and it was OK but some really big climbs going over the Pyrenees and something I would not recommend in the winter. The N10 route, as recommended in AboutFrance .com is always ice free in the winter.

SNAP! (n)

Except we were in San Sebastian at the time, so we added quite a few miles onto the journey AND the N121 was in the process of being "rebuilt", so there were roadworks for much of the journey (but it was pretty ;) )
