Supersport is a world championship. So is the 300cc race jobby. Only 1 really counts. Rea wouldn't be MotoGP champ, so he took the easier option.

In most folk's opinion. He's good, but most folk would admit he's not MotoGP quality. If he was, he would have been signed up by a top team.

Isn't the 'debate' about the fact that he is a six times world champion, regardless of whether some think it's a 'lesser' sport than MotoGP for example.

Would a Darts or Snooker champion be less of a worthy nominee?
