Our beautiful Jack Russel dog has had 4 beautiful girls. Mum has a fantastic temperament Dad is a KC and PRA clear miniture poodle again with a fantastic temperament. Puppies will be ready to leave at 8weeks old approx 18th July. They will be wormed up to date with Drontel and microchipped. Each puppy will come with a puppy pack which includes bag of food blanket and chews. £500 each

the kennel club ethos is of course based on eugenics, but history has shown it is a flawed system. inbreeding will cause unwanted mutations. so you need to breed a healthy dog and bitch which are entirely unrelated

having read many many pedigrees it becomes apparent that the same dog at stud, often a show winner, has been put to far too many bitches. this in the long term is damaging to the breed, as it makes the gene pool too limited

in some human cultures inbreeding is rife, with arranged marriages, leading to birth defects. so it's not just an issue with dogs

You are joking arent you? That might have been what it was founded to do. But all it has done is ruin many breeds, cause pain and distress with its strict breeding guidelines that in many breeds promotes unhealthy mutants

Working in a house, in Tamarama, walking to a fro, realised my right foot wuz dragging a bit, looked down there is this rat sized thing savaging the bottom of me track pants . Reminded me of the old joke about the "height of impossability"

our old scruffy black mongrel got in the garden of a neighbour with a white german shepherd show dog, who dug a hole she could stand in. 2 months later she had a litter with every one looking like the father. The owner tried to sue us but failed miserably

that wasn't the kennel club but poor quality judges who award rosettes to their friends not based on the dogs before them. as you say this has destroyed several well loved breeds

I could not agree more, as you know we loves our Border Collies, but we would not touch a KC one with a barge pole......when you look at early photo's of so many breeds & compare them to todays dogs they look nothing like each other. Boxers & pugs that cannot breath properly and GSD's with back ends that collapse on them and the list goes on. Our daughter's GSD was & still is fine & that was because she came from a breeder who breeds for the police and those dogs need to be able to perform. Bull dogs cannot be born naturally for heavens sake...…...oh I must stop because it all makes me so angry for the poor dogs.

Mum is lovely and has a fantastic temperament. Dad not only has a fantastic temperament but he is, impressively, a KC registered dog.
Of course, the other really good reason to breed from them is that at £500 each that is a nice profit.
If this was a first litter, the odds are a bigger brood later this year Janie

P.S. If you have read any other posts on this subject by me, you will know that I feel breeding for profit is sinful. Just topping breeding them (and cats come to that) because of stupidity.

I couldn't agree more. Breeding dogs for any reason is offensive when so many can't find homes.

Well as the owner of four beloved Cockapoos I am very glad their are breeders out there that are doing their utmost to breed ethically. We bought two and bred from our girl because of her temperament. We have two loving dopey puppies as a result. And 5 other families deeply in love with the other puppies. One is proving to be a boon to a quite severely autistic young man almost his therapy dog, and another is bringing joy to a little girl who has been deeply stressed with sats, but this weekend came 2nd in a young handlers competition and cried with pride. As their breeder I feel such pride in these pups and their families. Fills me with joy.

Even though I don’t need to reply to you, I will defend myself. I posted on here to support the person selling the pups. Reading the original post, I don’t think they are forum members so probably won’t read the thread anyway. I do know the OPs though, hence my post.

Hmmm ... I understand the feeling that you needed to 'defend' them but all it does is keep the 'arguments' going and distract from the OP's post in the first place.

Perhaps @Jim could delete ALL the posts other than the OP's so that the thread can 'start again' as it were and hopefully members will be more mindful that this is an ad not a discussion thread. This isn't the first classified ad that's ended up like this.
