Burstner Lyseo TD590

Long time caravanner - almost 2 years a motorhomer
Just had a look at a new Burstner Lyseo at a dealership. I haven’t really any experience of the Burstner range and wondered what the main differences are between the Lyseo and their Ixeo.
Can anyone help please.

We bought a 2016 Ixeo 590 IT Time Sovereign in late April this year. 5.99m low profile, compact van. Spacious lounge area with a huge sliding/revolving table that pushes down to bridge the gap between the 2 sofas if you want to make a lower bed for grandkids. Otherwise the table is too large, and if you want access to the underseating areas, it's a pain in the rear end.

Electric drop down transverse bed that needs a caravan step to get into it at the lower height [the Hymer Group Ladder only has hooks on it for use at maximum height and that is quite claustrophobic. The bed does require a '1 out, all out' approach for the 3am bathroom visit [1st one down stands in the kitchen inset, so a bit of a ladies excuse me performance]. Bathroom and shower are well designed and fitted, but it is a small Van and the laws of physics do mean that passing manoeuvres and bed access are challenging.

On the bright side, the Van is easy to park outside our flat [on street parking], and will fit into a supermarket parking bay. It's as easy as it can be driving on narrow roads and it is ideal for off grid parking on tight areas. Storage is at a bit of a premium but we manage to fit everything in. The biggest problem is the lack of a proper garage, having a ski cupboard [aka The Broom Cupboard] with 3 drop down shelves, 53cm deep x about 38cm wide [not quite wide enough to get an Aquaroll through the gap, the 'tyre' edges just snag]. We bought 2 Helinox Chairs [£129.95 each!] that have to be dismantled [15 seconds each chair] at the end of each session.

I just realised I didn’t acknowledge your detailed reply Marchie. Sorry, rude of me… forgetfulness actually but it would seem to be rude. Thank you for giving so much information.
In the end I recently exchanged our Autotrail Tracker for a 2021 Burstner Lyseo Harmony Line TD590. Most of the issues you describe are the same in ours. We use a step for the bed rather than the ladder. At full height, I got claustrophobia the first time we used the bed. Very scary. OK when lower and very comfortable. I agree with your comments about the table.
Still experimenting with storage but I think we’ll get everything in. We had just bought two lovely Loki chairs before we changed which we have to stack and strap behind the passenger seat as there’s no locker space big enough. They rattle like blazes so trying to muffle them… not much success so far. Lots of wow factor with the lounge, lighting and the bathroom layout, although whoever designed the washroom sink deserves Idiot of the Year status.
We got the 140 auto gearbox and it drives very well; more power and responsiveness than the 2019 130hp Autotrail manual. Our fridge seems a touch temperamental but I’ll let that run for a bit.
Overall, first impressions are it’s a lovely vehicle, smaller than our previous but feeling larger and more ergonomic to live in.

The previous owners of our it680g removed the table. We never put it back, it makes a big difference to the available space. We use a quality camping table in and outside.

As we use the van more I will think about that no doubt. Our initial thoughts are we like the table but wish it was the folding type seen on some other models. How do you store your camping table - there’s very limited space in the TD590?

It folds down really flat and stores in the garage. If you haven’t got a garage it will stow in the bathroom or lounge area.

The main difference seem to be the leather upholstery in the Ixeo.
The vinyl material used to very poor but seems much better on later models.
We love our big table and use it constantly for meals and planning trips.
We have fitted a big TV and spend our evenings lounging in the captains chairs.
The Thetford cooker is very good and hopefully you also have a Thetford fridge freezer.
The cupboard over the sink looks a bad mistake we only have a mirror in the Lyseo 690.
