Hello Funsters
Thank God it's Friday!
I've treat myself (big bucks) and bought one of these dash board mats in the hope that my SatNav will stick to it.

Hope the link works but if not, it's a dash mat costing a massive 99p.

If you have a SatNav, how do you fix it in place? - on the windscreen sucker or on the dash? - Bracket into dash vent or sucker onto a mat/pad?

Interested to know.

I've used windscreen sucker, dash mat and bracket to dash - dependent on dash design. All worked pretty well. My DIY dash bracket was best as I made it so as to swivel as needed.
Currently using screen sucker - Garmin - stays in place.

We have the satnav fastened by the sucker to one of these
181209

which is weighted and non-slip

We then have the mat clipped onto the spring-loaded clip (the one on the Fiat Ducato dash that doesn't lift up when you have an airbag fitted so is useless)

It seems very stable so far...

We use a dash mat in the car. It's been great. No slippage problems at all.

Mine fixes to the front of the radio with a CDSLOT mount.

I find that most of my loose change, general money, and expensive items tend to stick to the wife's handbag. It's really strange. One minute I had a fiver in my pocket, then next minute........:(

I bought one of those but it would not work as my cd is a front mount of type, so I cliped it under the on dash clip bord holder, job done
Do cars still come with CD slots?

I'm not allowed to have paper money:(
Neither am I - husband only lets me have a credit card, so I don't give all our money to the kids.

Not sure why my comment was added to previous quote! Any ideas?

It's usually because you typed it before the [/QUOTE] at the end of the quotation?

I guess so, there were two quotes in the quoted text and I tried to delete the second one. Then tried to edit but to no avail! :wasntme:

Well... it happens a lot, we all know where to look if there doesn't seem to be a post added to the quote. ;)

I have not tried it yet in the motorhome but it looks perfect for the job. I have had so much trouble with my tomtom wanting to drop off its suction mount. It sticks like glue to this little jobby.

I bought one of the round plastic discs from Halfords and it is held on the das with Super sticky tape and it is very firm, It will go with the van as there is no way to get it off without destroying it, My Tom-tom and my Garmin fit to it with t suckers on the base. I got one for the car too.
