Itsy bitsy teenie weenie payloads

Rapido will be in there I bet you a quid it will

I think my 7065ff had less than 200kg with nothing in it inc a driver before I uprated it that's useless in my opinion

Our old Autotrail - Tracker FB - if you now buy it in the 3500kg size.

225kg for a four berth motorhome.

If you want to take a passenger with their personal allowance. Then:

= 60kg weight remaining.

If you option the four seat belt option dinette - that's another extra 25kg. So your extra passengers must be at least be below 22 kg in weight each and of course travel without any spare clothes.

Our first Rapido, 791ff, had a huge garage and when up rated to 2250 on rear axle we could only put 40kg in to remain legal. It came rated at 3500 kg so was overweight on the rear axle with the garage empty.

1. Autotrail Apache 632: 209kg.

2. Autotrail Apache 634: 199kg.

3. Autotrail Tracker RS: 229kg.

......these payloads are calculated once the 6kg media pack is added (a standard fit).

Never had a problem.
Maybe there is less payload on the newer ones, mine’s 2006. 786F. Enough payload to take Big Daddy,Tessa O’Shea,Cyril Smith and Diane Abbott and still have room for Billy Bunter.:D:LOL::ROFLMAO::D

Benimar Mileo 2 Range @ 3.5T:

1. 264: 280kg.

2. 282: 280kg.

3. 295: 260kg

......and then the weights for the awnings, solar etc need to be removed from the above figures.

Mobilveta K-yacht Range @ 3.5T (All 4-berth, 4-seats):

1. 79: 340kg.

2. 80: 340kg.

3. 85: 340kg.

(Excludes awning, solar, extra gas etc).

Are you sure - they are quoted as having a payload of 400kg. Billy Bunter (I am reliably informed) was pushing that by himself. :D:D

Pilote Galaxy A-class @ 3.5T:

1. G741FGJ: 310kg.

2. G741J: 310kg.

3. G741GJ: 310kg.

(Excludes solar, awnings etc)

Hobby Coachbuilt 4-berth, 4-seats @ 3.5T:

1. 70HGE: circa 256kg or 264kg.

2. T75 HGE: 345kg.

Friend of mine, our families went tent camping together, he and his wife still occasionally get a tent out.
When we decided we needed to uprate our Autotrail Apache to 3850kg, he found it amusing that "3 and a half tons of stuff still isn't enough to go on holiday with".:D2

Rapido 7096F Coachbuilt (2019) @ 3.5T: 280kg.

(All extras incl awning, solar etc will reduce the payload further).

Benimar Mileo 2 Range @ 3.5T:

1. 264: 280kg.

2. 282: 280kg.

3. 295: 260kg

Serial-3 should read the following - Sorry Jim:

3. 294: 260kg

Rollerteam 690 built for 6 passengers and 6 berth with garage for a motorbike and allegedly has 500 kgs if weighted at 3,500 kgs.
If i load up with diesel, motorbike and 30 litres of water with minimal water then i cant take the wife never mind the other 4 or clothes.
Doesnt quite fit into what youre looking for but it might be the best lie

NB can be (and has been) uprated to 4,200 kgs

Yes,totally sure. Been to the weighbridge.

Look on the bright side, here the majority of the refrigerated trucks run at 3,5T...............with tares of 3,3t

Rapido 999M Bare, from the dealer with driver. Weighbridge = 3460. Gross indicated on plate at 3880. Payload = 420Kg. Could not see that being legal at 3.5t?:D2.

Well past time we had sensible B1 cat gross. MOST chassis/cab combinations will take up the 3750, without any modification.

That is for the vehicle, but it does not get around the C1 licence problems which for international circulation are governed by the weight limits set in the various Treaties and which have 140ish signatories who would have to agree.

Do these figures include petrol and water?
Mine had 70 Kgs of diesel and 100 Kgs of fresh water.

Maybe not relevant now but when we bought our Hobby it was plated at 3.5t. We were told we had plenty of payload, first time out loaded for 2 weeks away (full water and diesel, bikes and usual junk) went to check weight minus wife and 2 dogs. 320 kilos overweight So minus before we set off.

For water only:

1. Autotrail - All water tanks drained.
2. Mobilvetta- All water tanks drained.
3. Pilote - 20-litres.
4. Hobby - 10-litres.
5. Benimar - 50-litres.

The five brands above include 90% fuel but the tank sizes may differ, i.e. 60 or 90-litre tanks.

My Rapido 999m was 90kg overweight with full tanks etc when it was rated at 3880.Now uprated to 4000 an expensive exercise for just another 120kg. Have since removed the incredibly heavy steel framed table, and replaced two 13kg calor bottles with alugas, so a bit more leeway . In theory it can take four people, only two of us, though we would like to only weigh 70kg.

Autosleeper Coachbuilts on a Merc chassis with manual gears:

All figures are calculated @ 3.5T but this can be raised to an MTPLM of 3,880kg:

1. Burford Duo: 117kg, (2kg).

2. Burford: 47kg, (minus 68kg).

3. Winchcombe: 262kg, (147kg).

4. Malvern: 279kg, (164kg).

Notes:

a. Includes a 75kg driver, 90% fuel and all tanks drained.
b. The payload figure in brackets becomes applicable once the Premium pack/Auto is added (7G Auto, Awning, Alloy wheels, spare wheel and carrier, 80w solar panel, cab AC, upgraded stereo etc, circa 115kg.
c. If you opt for a 3rd and 4th travel seat on any of the above named variants then this will reduce the payload by a further 60kg per van (estimated).

And don't forget that all the optional extras that the dealer throws in to clinch the sale will all detract from the payload he said it had, average extra battery would be 25kg.

No one as mentioned what weight the vans come out of the factory at.
There is a +/-5% tolerance in my experience most vans come out 100 to 140 kg over the design weight and this has to be taken off the payload. That would make a lot of the vans listed here unusable with a passenger let alone optional extras that most people have 100 to 200 kg of.

The only exception I know is Hymer our first two were 30 kg under present one only 16 kg over.:)

IMO not practical to buy a Motorhome with less than 700 kg payload.

The options & extras I fitted to my van come to around 245 kg.
