Like PVCs the best
just had the PVC updated from 3500 to 4500... But the axle, weights are exactly the same on the weight certificate we have received back.....axle,weights TOGETHER only add up to,3500!!
How can that be?
Were are we supposed to put the extra weight?
Doesn't make sense to me....am I thick? Do you really need to be a member of Mensa for this motorhome lark?
Can you experts out there please explain this to me?

Do the axle weights add up to the same or more than 4500kg.

If they are, you will be able to distribute the added payload throughout the van so that the individual axle weights are equal to or less than the maximum shown on your plate

Some figures might help but it is not possible to have a vehicle plated at a GVW more than the sum of the axle weights.

In fact I have never seen a vehicle where the sum of the axle weights is the same as the GVW, they are normally less to give some margin for loading error.

Your axle weights add up to 4500kg........have you woke up yet?

You will need to be careful where you place the weight if you intend to run near the maximum weight though.

@Sue Definitely a mistake somewhere, as there should have been an increase in both axle weights too, otherwise it was a pointless exercise.

It's probably just a clerical error, but I'd be straight back in touch with whoever did your uprating and get them to sort it.

**EDIT** I retract the above after seeing the image of the weight plate and I'm at a loss of what Sue is querying ?

Don't know what's happened there, I think usually your axle weights add up to more than your payload any way, just checked online for a fiat Ducato and it's giving front 2100 kg, rear 2500 kg, so that adds to 4600 kg, but you musn't exceed the maximum payload, 3500 kg in this case, even though in theory the axles can take it.

Don't need to be a member of Mensa to add that up, Primary school class 1 should do.

Living the dream.
Quite odd, I think someone has made a booboo on yours.
Ours is rated @5250 but the axle weights total 5350kgs. 1850/1750/1750 to give a bit of leeway.

There is no 'one size fits all' for Ducato axle weights, there are many variants with different axles, tyres etc.

So now everyone knows what a dummy I am!!
At work we know that after someone makes a mistake, it won't be long before someone comes along and takes the heat off, with a mistake of their own.

However, such mistakes are usually punishable by cake fines and I like a nice cream cake :D
