It's snowing again, and I only just cleared the path! At least the Kelpies are still visible..for now.

Hello from Falkirk (halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow), from a seasoned outdoorsman but a complete newb when it comes to campers and vans, apart from two weeks in an hired VDub original years ago around Cornwall. Been sent here on recommendation from another motorhome site, more of a DIY one :)

Looking to self-convert and start the hunt for a van, probably within the month and possibly towards the Renault Master/Movano end of the Renault-Sevels spread, newer rather than older. Apart from the gearbox problem they look as though they might just tip the balance on reliability, or not depending on experience?

Meanwhile there's oodles of planning, worrying, and then more worrying, and probably lots of questions.

Anyway hello all and hope you're enjoying the white stuff :)

3 years of weekending with the odd month here and there.

Andy, not too far up the road from you, near Kinross but out in the hills. Still snowing here day 6, the road opened briefly yesterday for the first time but is shut again with drifting.
You’ll get all the info and help you’ll need on here they’re a knowledgable bunch although a little cranky sometimes, but you’ll struggle to find a friendlier more useful site.
