Our rear suspension has collapsed. We are in Edinburgh and the only people who can do this in Scotland (so it would appear) are in Dumfries. Worst scenario 8 weeks depending on Germany,:Eeek: but could be done within 2 weeks.:thumb: Insurers will transport van to the garage, work mostly covered by warranty. We now have the problem of finding somewhere to stay, all options at the moment are fully booked but we will keep looking. Not to worried about distance as we tow the car. We decided it makes better sense for us to get done here rather than transport it all the way home.

Still making mistakes! But they're not as costly.
You are having some bad luck this trip.

You could try staying in or around the Falkirk area. There are some decent places to stay there and it's not too far.

pm GerryHughes if your thinking of staying in the area while the work is done, I think he lives in that area and he might have some suggestions of places to stay locally

no consolation, but its usually lack of grease in the rear axle tube.
Alko axle must be greased at least yearly but i reckon not many dealers/service centres bother as its not straightforward.

hope you get it sorted soon.

MHvirgins (Bill & Margaret) are also in the area, albeit 40 odd miles from Dumfries...they may know of somewhere to stay.
