Put plenty of faces to forum names but sorry to say in all probability I will have forgotten them the next time we meet
Back home now, van unpacked and cleaned ready for the New Year.

Thanks for a great weekend, lovely to meet funsters (and randoms), if I was waving and grinning at you it was because I recognised either you or your dogs!

Lovely site, spotless facilities, light pollution a major problem.

Saturday we drove the van to Chester park and ride, 5 spaces with no height barrier, bus every 10 mins £2 each return. Result.

Sorry to bail early, my sniffles became a full blown cold, hope I haven't passed this on to anyone but if I have, see it as an early christmas pressie:thumb:

Did he ask you all to go? I did hear something mentioned by Stuart earlier in the day but didn't take it seriously.

To be honest, I'm not very happy if that is the case and shall be writing to see what happened.

I don't expect to provide a campsite with 50 vans, fund the club house bar the cafeteria and the local taxi community to be treated like that. :Angry:

i could understand it if it was high season but there were no other arrivals throughout the day,.

We left about 1o'clock without any prompting. However when arrived we asked what time we had to leave and were told that mid-day would be fine but significantly later and we would have to pay an extra £5.

Funsters are all very sociable and very good company we had an excellent time . It would appear that my dazzling dress sense has finally been recognised voted worst dress at camp thanks paul

Stuart asked this morning and was told to be off by midday and I think maybe word got around. Not a problem, the weekend was another Haganap Productions PLC success story

Sadly so, and back to the real world we go!

As others have said, many thanks to Paul & Nikki for organising such an enjoyable event at such a great venue. Thanks to Amanda for her efforts in judging the van-dressing efforts: there were certainly some good efforts and congrats to TheTwoOfUs in your result.

We enjoyed it very much and will be back. Mrs Spenders was very impressed with the retail opportunities in both Chester and at the site itself; I've already had the summons from the bank manager for a serious chat!!

Big thank you to Ann & Mark (The Dude) for your company and assistance with the van dressing, and I promise we'll make up for the taxi fare Ann!
