not long enough
Sad news, we had a single meeting, stuck with me though, a French registered MH pulled on to Twin Lakes while we were there for last years meet in May, driver got out and wandered in our direction

Now my French conversation is pretty much zero, so I hoped he didn't need anything too technical, or at least spoke slowly, he came round to our awning and burst forth in broad Lundun not sure if he was a cockney but it was nice to at least half understand what he was saying, he had just popped in for a visit knowing a few funsters were on site

RIP Frentchy

God bless.

I'm still in shock after JJ's text yesterday evening!
We both knew he was ill, but, I never thought he would go that quick....
Today I will send an email in French to his son and daughter in law.
Steward is the perfect example of bilinguism. When Frenchy arrived in France, Steward was 13 years old. He now speaks a perfect French just like a French would. He must be devastated. You could see at first glance the strong link between father and son. Frenchy was always helping with the campsite. Frenchy was the head of a business related to excavation with huge machines....When we first met he explained how hard he was working (and had worked in the past years) to give his family a nice house and life. JJ and I were invited , but being a bit short in time we didn't go.....Putain de merde!

We met a few times after that and had a very nice time at the campsite.
I have just read back the few phone texts we had.....I can hear him talking with his so typical heavy smoker voice!
We won't forget you Andy... you were such a very nice person! Rest in peace... and for heaven sake don't smoke up there!

Affectueusement
Frankie and JJ:(

Edit: Forgot to say, BAM I will pass on all your thoughts and condolences.

Getting better
Sad to hear this news, it underlines the fact that we all go in the end and need to make the best of the time we have left. Condolences to his family.
