I just picked up my first motorhome yesterday, what a baptism, it was rocking away all night and still is now but cosy enough inside, i didn't even need to put the heating on. I'm on a cl near three legged cross in Dorset.

If you have the option, in high winds park head to wind.

Last year we were in a 70mph+ gale right off a big lake, we parked exactly head to wind across two pitches and hardly moved, whereas our neighbours were up all night as they were like a ship in a storm.

I was parked stern to initially but i think the wind veered in the night.
