2021 Ducato based Burstner Lyseo question:

I was intending to disconnect the Hab battery while we are away on holiday and the MH is at home on the drive. Didn't really want to leave the EHU in. However, access is a nightmare. Removed drivers seat from runners but the swivel plate is very sturdily attached - 6 hex bolts and then 2 bolts which are flat headed and welded to the plate so only access is from underneath - inside by the battery!!! At this point I gave up. Pity because I was also exploring the possibility of adding a 2nd battery under there.

Anyway, there is a 50 amp fuse under the seat by the battery - if this is removed is this effectively doing the same thing isolating the battery or will there be other consequences?

Pulling the 50a master fuse should fully isolate the battery.... Unless any aftermarket electrical devices have been added directly to the battery.
Easy to see if any extra wires are connected to the battery post.

If you have solar panels this would keep the leisure battery topped up whilst on your drive so there would be no need to disconnect the battery. I I was going to disconnect anything it would be the starter battery fuse, to prevent theft.

If you haven’t got solar topping up your batteries then you need to think about your cab battery before the hab one. The cab battery on our ducato can run down in weeks as it is running the alarm system.
