Just back from recent trip to IOW going back down memory lane , I when there on many trips went 19-20 years old on motorcycle/ camping trips with mates also my loverly other half also went there every year to shanklin as a child , so we spend some time revisiting some old haunts. and discovering some new. it was quite sad though to see a lot of the high streets struggling especially in Sandown and Shanklin , either closed shops or charity shops, but I guess its the out of town shopping malls are to blame , we did have a brilliant time weather was amazing !

Lovely shots of a fabulous place with good weather too! The Tourist Board could learn a thing or two from you and your control of the drone is also pretty fantastic.

Wonderful video, agree with phil1946 the IOW tourist board could learn a lot from you. We live just up the road from Calbourne Mill. Have just got back from a trip to Cornwall and the weather was awful. Looking at your video makes me think we should have stayed home

Thanks Steve - nice video! Great to see bits of 'home' again. We came back with the same impression as you had about the towns. It's a shame that they've got into this state.

Last time I went was when I was a child and decided that, this year, following the Sunshine Festival, we are going onto the Isle of Wight for 10 days. It was a decision to do it that way because there was (and is) a special offer for 3,5 or 10 days, camping and ferry from Red Funnel so not long to go now as we're setting off to Sunshine Festival today.!

I lived in Godshill with hubby for a while and worked in a shop in Shanklin, a lot of happy memories, and sad ones.
I also lived in Lake, not so happy memories there with an X.
Left there 15years ago now still miss the friends I made there, not many like to drive away from the island, they say it's too busy and I agree.
Ps. Great video, I've walked along many of the places you showed and you had great weather!
