I have the same problem - often have to tape my third leg up too - stops it dragging along the floor:whistle:

I guess I need to check who is on line before posing a serious question :D

Obviously they don't want the minority of people with 2 legs to feel inadequate. Probably a PC thing!

If I was to tell you why its taped up,!!!!!!! then we would have to NUKE the lot of you:roflmto::roflmto::roflmto:
As far as I know it had something to do with showing too many LOGOS on there vests.

Apart from the Nuke bit I guess this might be as close to a serious answer as we get
(the nuke reference was a joke wasn't it) :notworthy:

Does the 'Three legs of Man' really come under advertising rules?

Yes the Nuke was a joke,we would have to borrow one of the English.
Not absolutely sure but a Country was only allowed to display (1) symbol, icon, badge representing there Country, the Commonwealth powers that be,:banghead: obviously got confused with 3legs.

Hi David
The Isle of Man Three Legs on the Flag, comes from a pagan symbol from the 13th century for power, sun & life, according to good old Google, I did work there for a few years but didn't know what they meant. Pete
ps no idea why they had to be covered up for the games, probably a jobs worth.
