Getting of isle of man ferry at midnight 1 would you drive straight through to dover or 2 find somewhere to park up/3 do 50 per cent of drive

Done that drive many times, the Ben usually docks about 11.30pm, for myself, I would rest up if tiredness is coming on,which usually happens just after you pass a motorway services area.I would endeavor to try to get south of Birmingham then stop for a sleep. You will then be halfway to Dover, then M40,M25 M20 for the journey onward.

yes have done several times its finding somewhere to park up half way down at 3.00 in the morning ?

When I get off the Ben around 2330h, I head to Morrisons, Morecambe, and get to bed in the coach park. Next morning, breakfast in Morrisons, get the groceries, and fuel, then wander off, in the wide awake club.

We do it regularly, the car park guy said as long as we don't block the coach bays, we are OK. As you pull into the coach park, the designated coach bays are to the right, just park on the left side, alongside the trees, and no problem.
I didn't know there was a five in the morning! We are away at the crack of 10 ish.

Thank you Craig is there only one Morrisons in Morcambe I would not rush ever to watch football.

Thanks for posting this, we wondered where on earth we could " hole" up for the night when getting off the boat that late at night....how far is morecombe from Liverpool ? Xx

I would be interested to know if the fast ferry arrived at low tide, would a front wheel drive FIAT have wait for high tide to get up the slope in the wet? It wasn't half steep when I went in the car. Or do all the larger vehicle have to go on the big ferry.
