Its forecast much better tomorrow hang on in there, even in the rain we have had fun, but much better without
hi dave and bev, just back from inverness, and was thinking of you on Thursday when I was in fort William area.
hope your travels go well and the weather is kind to you....it was a horrible drive down from inverness today with the heavy rain and don't think the forecast is good for that area tomorrow.
once again safe journey, and hope to see you sometime soon

not long enough
so we are well on our way home tonight, on a lovely carpark in Dumfries (Dock Park), close to an Italian restaurant, so not exactly a free stop over, but well enjoyed

As for Islay and Arran, really not sure, you should all go for yourselves and make your own judgement

I think we have been spoiled by starting on the western isles and north west Scotland, Islay is not as rugged as we like and expected, Arran is even less so, pretty enough in their own way, but not for us

So next time out we will save the ferries (close to £300 on the trip alone) and stick to mainland Scotland but go further off the main roads

But then France does seem a serious alternative, but not in August, but if it rains like it has for the last 10 days then France it will be, but it had better not rain there as well!!
