Hello....trying to identify dump switch.
Is this it ?
If it isn't where do I find it?
Pump not supplying water to taps, works ok....
At present am using a flask to get water from the water tank as pump just scooted water out of the bottom. If this is not the dump switch then where is the effing thing??????

This will dump the water from the boiler. Lift up the yellow level and the water will run out of the boiler

That’s a match for the manual dump valve fitted near our truma water heater 👍🏻

edit: sorry, reading the whole section. There is also an automated dump valve option for truma WH. That dumps below 5decC. Iirc
How warm is your MH?
I don’t have that option so can’t advise on how to close that one. A clothes peg?

Yes boiler dump valve in closed position

Oops Swifter got quicker fingers than me.😎😎😎
Ok so the switch is in the position to work without any water draining away....and I should be able to work the taps ?
It has 3 positions...when vertical that's when it will drain ? TIA.

That is a manual dump valve and it is closed, so has not dumped any water. It will not open automatically, as others have said, you have to lift up the yellow bit. If the pump is dumping the water look underneath and see where the water is coming from, that will give you a good indication of where the automatic dump valve can be found inside the motorhome.

No that is just a drain tap.

Dump valves/switches are like this:

This is the current one that has been in use for about 12 years or more and is mechanical.

This is the older type and is electrical needs 12v power to stay closed.

If it is this type there is a reset button on the side that needs to be pushed in to reset whether the valve has opened automatically on low temp or opened manually

But the yellow lever does drain/dump the water from the boiler , it just needs to be activated manually ?
It is just a drain valve the others are frost protection valves that dump the water if there is a danger of freezing so are often referred to as a dump valve.

The mechanical one to reset you push a blue button at the bottom on the back and turn the knob on top 90 deg to latch it. You can do a manual drain by turning the knob on top 90 deg.

Yes but they ain't cheap over 100 quid, there are different versions depending on the plumbing, i.e. flexible or semi ridged pipework.

This is the valve in the "manual" dump position

This is the valve in the "normal" position but reset button not pressed in, ie, will still dump water

Great to see pics of the Truma dump valve. Mine is completely hidden. :banghead: I can just about reach it and fiddle with the knob and push button until the water stops splashing out at which point I have succeeded, yay!

Hey, it’s not hidden, it’s your eyes out of focus due to fiddling with your knob 😄

Guys, guys guys!

The OP said he can't get any water to the taps in his first post.

Then later he says the pump is leaking.

Doesn't ANYBODY think there just maybe a connection.................????? Martin tried!

The dump switch, lever, button, whatever is a red herring!

george mcneill get the pump sorted first, will almost certainly solve your first problem.

I asked the OP to show us a picture of the pump in post 13. No reply yet 👍🏻
