I’ve found this on YouTube.
No rear seatbelts for the kids , sideways facing seats and a very long journey 😢 . No seatbelt for driver either , while he films 😩

They don't sound like they're from this continent...? Was the video taken while on UK roads?

Cheers

The guy is a moron obviously with no seatbelt.
Sideways seats on older vans don't have to have a seatbelt from memory? (could be wrong on this)
But the mother is a moron for allowing her child to travel unrestrained.

Here’s part 2 . Things don’t get much better.
.I don’t even let my kids unclip the seatbelts to pick stuff up off the floor if they drop something while I am driving.
You can bet these parents let the kids wander around while the vehicle is in motion .

Looks like Camping Villasol 😁

Pair of Dicks!
Mother feet on dash!
No seatbelts worn by an of them, so they must have disabled the seatbelt alarm or bought those plastic seat belt defeaters in Benidorm.
Kid, or any passenger using loo when on the move is bad enough, so easy to pull over, but then to mention the van stinks of shit!, well they deserve it!, as they, as Responsible parents , are the same!
Bearing in mind the recent MH fatal accident north of York being so tragic with the death of a mother & two kids, involving an HGV collision, their behaviour beggars belief!
This should be removed from You Tube, its not a responsible Vlog, and hopefully does not reflect the normal behaviour of anyone in charge of minors.
I hope they get pulled up for posting this, but I guess those that do point it out to them, will probably get the finger. :swear:

These are the sort of people that we all complain about on here, but they are not on there own , there's thousands of them, couldn't give two f...s and when you see folks complaining about motorhomes this is the sort they are on about, and I don't think there is a lot that can be done.
Wonder where the grey went on the way down?

What age is the motorhome? if it's pre October 2007 there's no legislation governing rear seatbelts. if they're not already fitted they don't need to be and it's perfectly legal to carry passengers on them.

If they are fitted it has only been law to use them since 2006.

The legislation was not retrospective.

My 04 RV has a side facing couch with two lap belts, all perfectly legal.
On the opposite side there's a table with seating for 4, two forward and two rearward facing but only one lap belt, again all legal.

the video is from about 2014

No seat belts for anyone. Mum with feet on dash. Unbelievable.

I believe it is retrospective in relation to children - not certain though.

I don’t think the parents are particularly worried .

Here’s dad enjoying a drink and a little rest on the bed while the wife drives .

Maybe, maybe not. It's only over the last 18 months that Isofix is appearing more often.

Isofix doesn't affect the rules (whatever they are). Prior to Isofix child seats were held in place by seat belts.

Darwinism

That's fine for the parents to extricate themselves from the human race in whichever way they choose - but sadly there are innocent children who could also be severly impacted, and they aren't being given a choice in the matter.

It's a shame - because actually parents taking their kids on a trip like that is excellent.

Apart from everything else who’s doing the filming?
Presumably the father, whilst he’s driving!
