its just a supporting wheel for tailgate, not a trailer, brilliant Idea wish I had thought of it.

What bothers me with a swivel wheel, and we've all seen it,

Hi Geo, no idea but maybe it doesn't happen with this arrangment. I like the idea, been think of chopping the scooter in for something bigger, but worried about the extra weight on the rear, this seems to be one possible answer.

:Smile: I remember seeing a system where the rear Bike wheel is actually the trailer wheel. It has a Front wheel fixing on the towbar similar to a bike rack.
 
Hi John yes I have seen them but I would imagine reversing without removing the bike is impossible; for me anyway. :BigGrin:

well if we can find the wheel set up, we can soon design/fabricate a frame:thumb:

I first saw this idea many years ago and have allways born it in mind for a home made carrier.
