Is there such a thing as a ladder to fit the brackets that are left behind after removing a Fiamma dj200 bike rack off my pvc rear door?
Fiamma do a number plate ladder but not a straight thru ladder!
AFAIK they used to do a straight through ladder ( to reach the Fiamma roof rack) but I can’t find it anywhere!!!!! 😳

Is it one of those things you could spend hours searching for? Could you contacta metallurgist (?) (metal gate maker) to make a custom one for you?

This one fits on the same bars as are used to support bike racks but the question is whether the ones you have fitted are in the right place.

Thanks for the replies👍
Yes the outdoor ladder from Fiamma is the “number plate” one, so the ladder doesn’t block the number plate that’s NOT what I want!!!

One word of caution, the bike racks aren't made to take the weight of a human as the rack has a limit of 35kgs so the remaining fixings shouldn't be used for the purpose you propose.

For a 'straight' ladder do a search for Fiat Ducato ladder and you'll see a load of options which are fixed to the van using their own brackets.

Also think about security, a ladder means people can access your roof so if you leave roof vents open when away from the van it could make it easier for 'naughty' people to get in, even fitting a ladder guard of some sort (not the crappy short Fiamma one which is as much use a a chocolate fireguard) won't stop them.

An alternative would be a telescopic/collapsible/folding ladder stored inside which means you could use it all round the van and not just fixed on the rear.

I’m thinking of putting a Fiamma roof rack on a) to put solar panels on and b) to transport a canoe or kayaks, that’s why I need access😁

Although telescopic ladders are quite weighty?🤔

Not sure if it's what you are looking for but i have a ladder stuck in my loft from when i had a Trigano Tribute. I took it off as i couldn't close the door with a bike on, Its similar to the one in the pic (thats a fiamma one )and it was on the opposite door to the bike rack, pic shows the brackets as i never took them off .

That looks like just the thing I’m after😳🥳 👍😁
Does it have a number on it to see if I can get brackets?

No sorry no markings on it , just been in loft so here are pics , its 4 ft from top to bottom and about 10 inches across from centres. I think it is the fiamma one and i took that pic from the fiamma site but could be 10 years or more ago . I will see if i have any close ups of the bracket.
