Cruising up from Alicante to Santander on the Madrid route and keep seeing the odd British Motorhome got me thinking it would be fun to see if you had been clocked.

A car forum I use has that 'sticky'...was it you ?
Out of every couple of hundred posts there may be one or two confirmation posts.
That's a lot of wasted server space.

A lot of owners are security conscious to the extent that they will obscure their registration numbers before posting pics of their vans online.

If the owner of the Hymer in your second pic was that way inclined, they'd be unlikely to confirm it's theirs, whereas I just wish I was rich enough to confirm that it's mine ;)

We spotted a U.K. Plate motorhome parked at Tamaragua near Corralejo about a week ago.
Would have said hi but nobody about.

I spotted a motor home today

I can see one now!

It's on my drive.

Saw a funster Pilote van today parked up next to the swimming pool in Tavira today. No one was home. :-(

Who was it?

When a stranger starts taking a photo, in which I am in the frame, I start waving my arms and saying out loud

" No photos, no photos - my wife does not know I am here"

Either causes a laugh or embarrassment - do I care which? No. They did not seek my permission.

But then I do not like even my friends taking photos of me.

Permission is of course not needed in a public place. Maybe for courtesy and general good manners.

But I fear you may have to walk down every street waving your arms in the air with the number of CCTV cameras and Dash Cams and people taking selfies these days to avoid your picture been taken clearly.

ill need a much bigger bag of popcorn to finish this argument though ;)

I am only in it for the laughs.:D
