Recently bought a 2021 Benimar 463 and noticed the charge indicator on control panel was half way down on hab and cab batteries (12.1v) after a week on the drive. Recharged and same again after another week.

Are you relying on the Benimar control panel to give you the information? If so then they are not very accurate apparently, according to Benimar owners. Can you check using a digital meter.
You say recharged. My Burstner ones always reads 0.2 volts low on both compared to the solar MeTer connected directly to the batteryAgree with this being a possibility. My Burstner gauge always reads quite a bit lower than my multimeter reading..
