Is it me or was the weather this year rubbish

In not so sunny sussex by the sea the month of May was very nice. We had 2 hot weeks in June, and 2 hot weeks at the beginning of August, the rest of summer was very windy, but dry, apart from last 2 weeks of August which has pretty much rained every day. The long range weather forecast for September looks dismal, and wintering in Spain is cancelled. Apart from that life is good.

Our lawns have been starved of water for long spells this spring and summer and we have spent lots of time soaking up the rays while in lockdown, pretty good considering the other restrictions on all our lives.

Thought that was normal for the uk..Fantastic spring which was a bonus because we are usually in Spain/Portugal at that time..Aug is usually rubbish,,BUSBY.

It's you I'm in Lancing 3-4 miles from you from late March to mid August we only had around 4 days of rain it's got to be one of the best summers ever with constant high temperatures.
Will agree the last 2 weeks have been sh*t.

The farmers round here are working round the clock to get the potatoes harvested.

The cereal crops don't look very healthy though.

It’s been a long hot summer in Battle East Sussex, luckily we were away when it got stupid hot in August.
Does seem as if you only remember the bad days though

Older sister returned from South Africa in Feb, the we had 4 days rain from Feb 20th to June

I’ve said it many times for years and I’ll say it again, our summers are getting earlier, may-beginning July is now Summer...

we are only having three seasons, cold, warm and wet.....

Lockdown was hot and dry. In-lockdown has been mixed. Crap in the Lakes last week.
