Never leave a campsite with your clothes line tied to a lamp post.
This comment is intended only as a positive comment on the Motorhome Fun site in general and NOT as a comment against Jim or anyone else, but Iv'e just counted the number of separate forum sub sections and it comes to a staggering 73. Does anyone else agree with me that this makes the forum a bit clunky and unwieldy ?

I don't ever really go to the main page with all the headings, I generally just use the 'recent' tab for general browsing. On very rare occasions I will go to the main page and to find the belly locker section, but this isn't very often. If I'm looking for something in particular I'll use the search function.

However, if I'm starting a thread then I will put it in the most appropriate sub section.

So, for the way I use the forum, it doesn't really bother me how many there are - though I hadn't realised there were so many.

As above, only use the recent tab as I’d be here all day else, never looked at the subsections but I would guess they are there to stop everything being lumped together!

It probably says something - but I don't know what, exactly - that there is a section for feedback and suggestions about the forum, and this is isn't it ;)

I like the forum just the way it is...

I too just use the "Recent Posts". (Just click on the Fun flag, top left, to open "Recent Posts".)

I spend a little time each day "ignoring" threads so my online life isn't clogged up with stuff of no interest to me about dogs or TV shows or Egg Chasing or politics or immigrants or paranoia about tank emptying and insurance nonsense etc...

JJ

There is the "New" option that lists threads with any new response since you last checked.

I use New or occasionally Recent but if starting a thread, I do try to put it in the appropriate section (which is usually U Shape or MH Chat)...

...but if I'm being grumpily critical, I do wish folk would add their "funnies" to the daily smile thread rather than start a new one each time*

*Old-Mo excepted of course ;).

I use the 'recent' page mostly but to start a new thread I have to scroll through the forum lists to find the appropriate one but it is quite rare.

Old-Mo and funnies are mutually exclusive terms:LOL:;)

Sorry Sir_Old_Mo only joking:p

I made a non motorhome post in the chat forum and got mildly rebuked for it by another member (probably correctly so) . My post was moved and never saw the light of day again!!

As we are all different with our own particular interests, I am happy with the broad spectrum of special interest sections, like others I mainly go straight to 'New' but have the option to explore so many other facets, if I want or need to.
I have recently begun collecting dried ants, there really are so many different varieties, and was wondering if we could have a section where members could swap duplicates and compare their own collections.

never counted them.. does it matter how many.. ?

I just use 'recent' for reading.. that's the page I use as a bookmark on the tab bar ..

when making a new post will try to put it in the most appropriate forum..

Just read the bits you want to
