We are travelling back from Brittany towards Calais today for a couple of weeks in the U.K. As soon as we got to Rouen at about 14:30, we started to see UK vans heading towards us. We counted about 20 before we got to Boulogne.
Is everybody leaving?

Yup plenty of U.K. Reg campers heading south on the N10 south of Poitiers today,won't be any room left in Spain and PT soon haha!
All the gassing and robbing will be done by the time we leave to go south.

I could pack up and be off in a whisper the world is my lobster but how could anyone really think that life would be better elsewhere. This is a fantastic time of the year in a fantastic country, bright sun with the occasional snow flurry with spring on the horizon. My son has been with us for a few weeks and is returning to the US tomorrow, even after 10 years away he is still a complete anglophile and enjoys every hour he spends here......we all enjoy holidays but it is always nice to get home.......

Four weeks today, we'll be on the Santander ferry. We'll settle the dog into our pet-friendly cabin, then go to the restaurant to start our trip as we mean to continue. When the weather's like it is today, I just can't wait to get away.

Going to sling me hook around France Portugal and Spain in March for 12 months I'm sure this island will cope without me...joys of retirement...he! he! Lots of wild stuff me thinks...hope to meet up with like minded adventures.

You hit the nail on the head , I have done a lot of long haul travelling but it's ALWAYS nice to get back home especially after a 6/8 week trip now I got a mh it's a case of quick load up and away local in uk . But planning a longer trip during summer to Scandinavia 6wks .
