A friend has just bought a 2002 Bessacar E3550 and the dealer told him it’s a Motorhome not a Campervan because it has a toilet inside. I’ve not heard that definition before.
If people feel the need to decide if they have a Motorhome or a Campervan (they are both "Motor Caravans") then the bathroom facilities tend to be the differentiator - the typical "Campervan" does not have a shower or toilet cubicle (they might have a pull-out portapotti).

I tend to work to that definition if I want to decide what to call a specific Motor Caravan (but why bother?)

With regard to covenants on properties have a read of this

.
With regard to what the difference is between motor home and camper van, in our experience it depends on the site.
In all cases where they stipulate campervans only I email the dimensions of ours 6m long 2.4 wide and have always been accepted as a campervan all be it a large one.
