Ironbridge Gorge Museums (2 Viewers)

Thinking of visiting here - IronBridge Gorge Museums near Telford. There are several spread over an area. Can anyone recommend a good campsite near them?

Not far from the museums which are well worth a couple of days visiting. Buy a passport ticket to see them all and to save money.

The Sytche at Much Wenlock, in easy walking distance of a lovely, quaint town with some nice pubs.

Another recommendation for Severngorge camp site - great site. Touring area not large so would book. Ask if the Badgers are still in residence.

Dave Newell's workshop is just opposite if you need any work while you are there. We stayed there when we had work done and Dave gave us a lift and a free ticket for all the local Ironbridge attractions.

Lots of places to visit - Blists Hill was good. Broken Link Removed

It's only around a mile from the site and a fairly pleasant walk.

If it’s any interest Cosford air museum is about 20 minutes from Ironbridge, well worth a visit and it’s free entry

thanks for all the replies. I can see that some of the places to see are not open until 1st April so we may wait until then to go.

Agree with everything above. If you need to refill lpg, budget gas (now Calor) are in Telford, easy to get into, charge VAT for domestic use, only a few minutes from Severngorge site.
