Do Stena allow dogs as no provision for adding them on line.

What it like driving on their roads with an RV?

Is 12 days enough to take in the sites?

Has anyone been with an RV and whats the sites attitude to them?

Thinking of going via Rossclare via fishguard.

Whats the must see and do's?

Booking in July is it possible as might be able to work some time away.

PrintCan I take my pet to Ireland or Britain with me?
There are no restrictions on taking your pets to Ireland or Britain. Cats and dogs may travel in your car free of charge on the Irish Sea. For pets travelling on the North Sea, please click here for more details. For health and safety reasons your pet is not allowed onto the passenger decks (with the exception of guide dogs) and must remain in your vehicle. Foot passengers are unable to take dogs (with the exception of guide dogs.

Irish Tour

Hi John

Go onto our website front page - click on the tab RV Stories and look at Chapter three onwards for our two month tour of Ireland in our 36ft Monaco Cayman complete with 18ft Car trailer as well.

Ireland in an RV is not a problem, unless you try and drive throgh Cork at rush hour - not advised if you suffer from heart problems

Ferry fare from Pembroke - Rosslare return was £450 three years ago.

Hi John

Some of the road in Ireland are very narrow. Main road are fine you would have no problem. Beware of Tourist buses on the road like on the Ring of Kerry, as they will not slow down they will try to force you of the road.

Yes the ferries will allow dogs to stay in MH.

12 days is very short. You could do the south coast Wexford to Kerry.

July is busy as most people are on holidays here as well.

Hope this helps.

We sailed Pembroke/Rosslare stayed at Trading Post first two nights just north of Wexford

Wexford Caravan & Camping Park Camping in Wexford

Then three nights near Kilkenny

Then another 4 nights at Camac Valley on outskirts of Dublin, bus stop out side gate of site Into Dublin for 2 euro.

We then stayed with relatives over in Mayo for the remainder of the holiday.
