We found this place almost by accident. It was closed for over 4 years but was leased from the Forestry agency by a youngster in June, who has been doing wonders. Still work in progress, but a beautiful setting and loads of places to walk or cycle. Miles off the main road. Entry to the park is via a 5 Euro barrier but if you ring the number on the barrier, they let you in.
You park on hard standing in amongst the trees
It's near Kilcornan and only a few minutes from the aire at Askeaton which we didn't fancy. The borne there was partially blocked and was disgusting. Also lots of caravanners parked up next door!
This site is not cheap, but a good cafe on site.
