Hi all
Having a few days at Felixstowe just saw this outside Lidl

From you heading I thought you were saying all campervan parking in Ipswich has been banned. In truth, it is a group of residents asking for over night parking to be stopped on the beach front in Felixstowe.

Same happened in Aberystwyth !!! At least you can pay and stay 24 hrs near the harbour .

This a none story we are down there regularly on a Friday night and rarely see any motorhomes, just another headline from the local rag.

Looks like it is specifically the beach hut owners who are not allowed to sleep in their huts overnight who are objecting, they don't like the fact that motorhomers are not stopped from sleeping on the sea front, and further more it means they can't park behind their huts when they return in the morning. Without a specific bylaw looks like visitors are going to continue to have more rights than residents, of course when by law is passed we will all be filled with outrage at the treatment of motorhomers

Agree with olley. Archant locally have a poor reputation for quality or even remotely accurate news. Full story . It is not a resident complaining, it's a 'put out' beach hut owner from Essex who think that owning a beach hut gives them parking rights. However, Doreen Savage has a reputation for trying to deliver sweeteners to locals, so something may come it which will be a shamr

This is the Fludgers end and all the local residents have private parking. I've never seen more than two Moho there, at least one regular is a local and has a blue badge as it's to only place the paraplegic lady can get to see and smell the sea. I don't think you could get 17 in that stretch of road.
