Im a newbie
I would suggest any pure sine wave of 1KW would do the trick...many on amazon that fit the bill.. but be aware they will eat up your house batteries... depending on the size of the bike batteries and how flat they are of course.

A nice generator will also do the trick and will charge house batteries at the same time ( keeps head down as I know I am the spawn of the devil for thinking about generators )

If you can get hold of a plug in 'watt meter' you can determine what power your bike charger draws.

For my ebikes, the charger uses a fairly steady 95 watts.

My bikes charge fine using a 500w PSW inverter. I had an older 300w modified sine wave unit that wouldn't work at all.

As Arto stated, a decent bike battery will hammer your Hab batteries - so look to recharge your bike battery little and often (ie not from empty to full).

Keep an eye on the hab battery voltage whilst running the inverter.

If you have a decent solar input, then you should be fine. If no solar, then look to recharge the ebike battery whilst driving (so the alternator can take up the slack).

HI
It was this one:

Amazon product ASIN B01MYXVJTF
I did think it had started playing up earlier this year, but I was wrong (I hadn't wired my batteries correctly).

Its working fine, charges my ebikes and runs my wife's hairdryer (400w) no problem.

You probably have an ad blocker running - it will prevent Amazon ads showing up. I can see them in your post as I don't have one.

You can delete the http:// bit before the www and the link will then show and not be blocked. :)

Do you just plug this into your 12 volt socket (cigar lighter)
No, it draws too many amps at full power even though the pic shows a cig plug. .

With cable and inverter loses it will be around 44amps at max output, a cig lighter socket is rated at 10 or 15 amps max.

A cigar lighter is only going to give you approx 10amp = 120watts.

This would probaly be OK for a Ebike charger, but a direct connection to your leisure batteries would allow for higher current usage.

NB - my Sprinter based M/H front (driver) cigar socket is rated at 25 amp ( I think).

We have Bosch 400 watt batteries I think a 500 watt inverter may trip out when you first plug in due to the start up surge of the charger.

I use a 1000 watt pure sine inverter if I plug both chargers in the inverter trips if I want to charge both batteries I have to plug one in let it stabilise for a couple of minutes then plug the other one in.

Thanks papa John, so how do you wire it in
Should be wired directly to the battery with a 50a fuse in the positive wire..... But not using that wet string that's provided with it, its not heavy enough to take 44 amps looking at the picture.
I would use at least 10mm2 depending on length
