Hi I have a small 500 watt not pure sine wave inverter will it harm my new computer if I use it charge it thanks

No Idea, but I've had three laptops, none needed an inverter to charge up.

Many 12v adapters available now.

No, it'll be fine. A laptop needs less than 100w and a pure sine wave inverter will not upset it.

Personally I've fitted a 36w usb c outlet. The laptop charges slowly, but it's more convenient than using an inverter and a PSU.

Ah, sorry. It'll -probably- be ok. The issue is the PSU can demand current when the square wave is supplying little. But when you're supplying several times the power you need, it normally figures it out.

However, I was running a laptop on a cheapo 150w inverter. All seemed fine. But the touchpad would occasionally glitch. I worked around it but charging it when it was off.
