inverter on the van has a remote, should the blue indicator light be on all the time?

I dont know what it is but guess that the blue light will be on when the inverter main power switch is on, does anything change when you use the remote to power up the inverter.

nothing changes , i would have thought light would go out when its on , but maybe it stays on to show power is there, annoying though as its a very bright light

Bit of black electrical tape.
You knows it's turned on when anything plugged in works.

Have you tried turning it off with the remote when an item is plugged in and working....a table lamp maybe.
That would at least confirm the remote is working
