Does any one have experience of Brunner or Summit internal cab blinds? The Brunner climats ones have 7 layers, and the Summit ones say "Summit Thermal Blinds use a Twin Foil Backed Fabric Coated Material which has pockets of air trapped within. The Material of these blinds is thicker, lighter, more self supporting than the traditional 7 ply materials and due to its construction requires 50% fewer suction cups than the others."
(I'm considering internal blinds because my motorhome has fiddly curtains and I'll be in there during the winter).

Well curtains are much less problems than blinds, I would just change the curtains for thermal ones and try to get them so no gaps around the edges, perfect, you can take them down for dry cleaning/washing etc.

External work far better as the glass doesnt get cold, internals will always have gaps that allow warm moist air to get to the cold glass.
Interesting thanks. I hadn't considered external bacause I thought I could use the internal if I leave the van for the day.

What sort of problems are blinds then? I'm thinking the ones with a few suckers on. They look simple to me, but I could easily be missing something!

A lot of the external have a fold down windscreen section so you can pull it down during the day if required.

I meant that if I leave the van for the day, then an external one could be easily stolen.

I have Bruner internal thermal blinds ( reversible) and I find them very good and easy to store.
Yes, you do get a bit of condensation in the early mornings , mainly when it’s very cold, but for me it’s a compromise to faffing with a big external set, although I am told the external ones are much warmer, but bulkier.
Only my opinion, but for internal ones I can recommend the Bruner make.

Sorry, when you said blinds I presumed you meant the Remis blinds that pull across, they are like tissue paper, break, tear and don't offer any thermal qualities.

You were talking about internal screens, they are no problems just cause condensation, external screens are great but good thermal curtains are effective too.

Hi, I used the foil suckered internal foil blinds and they are next to useless, you wake up in the morning with condensation on your windows, that’s if they stay suckered to the glass, even if your windows are plastic, they won’t stick For long at all.
think about external screens, look at Polar screens from Minster Products, very well made and they cause no condensation in the cabin area. Think about a marcher window vac for the rest of the windows.

I bought these for my PVC and they work fine I put them up and then draw the curtains around them. If I want to let the day in I just pop the top suckers and it falls easily without removing completely.

Had summit external screens bought as a gift and unfortunately they were rubbish were not big enough to cover the screen and very poorly made. They have been returned to the retailer and I am waiting for a refund.

He has had them for 2 weeks now but no refund as yet , buy the best you can afford. Be careful some say they fit a specific vehicle and when they arrive they are 'universal' so are not as snug a fit as you would expect.

Good luck I have found that I return quite a few items before I find the most suitable
