Hi I'm looking for advice on an intermittent fault on my Citroen Relay based Devon Aztec. When driving the battery warning light has begun flashing at irregular intervals, sometimes staying on for several seconds. The battery voltage, with the engine running, is between 14 and 14.3 volts. It does not alter when the light comes on so I'm satisfied the alternator is charging.
I must be a fault in the lighting circuit and I wondered if anyone in the group had a similar problem.

The charge warning light is normally a separate output from the alternator. Flashing on intermittently is usually a sign of failing alternator brushes or WL circuitry. It isn't connected to the lighting circuit.

Could be a loose wire on the back of the alternator, now it’s working now it’s not.
That would be my first looksee. (y)

Thanks for the tips. It turned out to be a lose wire on the battery positive. I think it was part of the split charge system. Replaced the dodgy connector and all seems ok.

So was that a positive result ? Or was it a neg ?
