The seed pots idea I might use.

I'd be worried about germs for the rest of the ideas - which is why they are no longer used as a basis for crafts in schools.

Kitchen roll inner tubes might be a less risky substitute though!

That's what I was thinking. I have, in fact, used them for starting seeds many years ago and that worked OK.

Yes especially if Sweet peas as these don't like being disturbed .. just plant WITH the rolls and the roots grow through them.....

However, grew perennial sweet peas a few years ago and they ARE perennial and grow like made .. grow them into bushes and they add brilliant colour over summer and autumn ... but not got the beautiful smell of annuals.

People sell their empty toilet roll tubes on EBay.
Back in the late 80s we were told to stop using them at nursery school. This was at the height of AIDS misinformation and hysteria.

We keep all our toilets roll, use them to plant sweet corn, cabbage and cauliflower seed.

The wrapping paper is a good idea, cable storage could be as long as it’s not for data cables, which don’t like being squashed.
