The best insurance quote I have got this year for the van, is from Caravan Guard, anyone had any problems with them?

No, but they had value, length and height limitations when we tried them. If you've not committed yourselves, have you tried NFU at Louth - sounds odd I know but they were far the best for our rv, and they do insure Europeans also.

Regards Jan

Best one we got was from the camping and caravn club (included pre-existing conditions)

Hi Ralph, we are currently insured with Caravan Guard and we have made a claim recently. They sorted it out no problem.

we have just had a requote of them for this years which is due in the next 2 weeks and they have given us a good price but the brakedown cover is not as good as Safe Guard.

Basicaly Caravan Gard only offer UK road side assistance for there basic price and you can not remove it. With Safe Gard they are offering European Recover for less than atenner more.

It migh be worth checking all the details as the cheapest is not always the best deal in the long run.

Richard...

Have you tried Adrian Flux? They specialise in covering unusual vehicles as well as motorhomes etc. We paid just over £300 which we thought was brill for our m/home and no obvious silly exclusions etc.

Just my tuppence worth' I tried NFU for a quote, they initially said they could'nt quote me cause I live in a city/town...:Eek!: even after explaining that I would be parking the m/h in cassoa secure site and err.. driving it mainly out of the metropolis they took three days to get back to me after checking with the underwiters to say they would quote.
Needless to say I had got my insurance sorted by then..... well nearly they "coversure" sent my cover note to the wrong address TWICE....:Angry: delaying me getting the m/h registrered :shout:
My fingers are still crossed awaiting my full policy..

hope you have better luck than me.:thumb:
