We've been speaking to the insurance company again today.

Apparently the initial offer was made, mistakenly, based on the fact that the van was a Peugeot Boxer, not taking into account that it was a motorhome.

The company has now made an offer which is right on the button so, all being well, we will have a cheque in the next few days and can sort out a replacement van ::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

obviously someone wasn't looking properly when they either read or wrote the report.

lets face it you insured it as a motorhome so that is just down to incompetence on their part.

glad to see they have realised their mistake.

Good news at last, you can now start looking in earnest.

Must be a relief to have it sorted at last, the final part of getting the actual payment, then the serious work of enjoying yourselves can begin again. Good luck with the search.

Johns Cross Motorhomes have a good deal on some European (Eastern) models, very high mpg, air con, 12v (optional) 2 berth.

It's by no means beyond belief I can assure you! RSA were at a loss to understand why the Fiat garage couldn't mend the hab door as well as the cab, or alternatively why CLS couldn't mend the cab door as well as the hab. Why were we involving two repairers and complicating the issue unnecessarily?

I had to say, forget for half a jiffy that it's a motorhome and imagine it's a van, towing a caravan, both of which you happen to insure on the same policy. I know that's impossible, but just imagine it isn't.

    NOW do you understand?

Failing which, please discuss it with your Engineer - who definitely does understand........

Graham - that's great! Happy motorhome!

    Not so fast....

Its good for growing Rhubarb and you will never guess where you plug in the 12v.. Inbuilt SOG, better than a 4 x 4, fairly low emission, not sure about LEZ.

How many motorhomes do you know when if hungry you can eat the engine..

The only downside as far as I can see is the view from the drivers seat, why they modelled it on Munchie is beyond me..

    Wait for it.,,

    Great news. :thumb:
Hopefully things will go smoothly now and you can get a new van sorted. With any luck you'll be ready to roll as the better weather arrives.
