I was a bit unfair to the servicing company on Monday. Turns out it was a genuine misunderstanding over storage charges and they are on the ball now. They rang up on Tuesday to check some details and it looks like there is what might be called a great deal of work to be done if the van is not to become a source of cheap fittings for Terry's next self build

Our insurance company legal people sent the forms straight away - arrived Tuesday, filled in Tuesday night and sent back yesterday complete with sets of photos of the damage.

Letter arrived from Asda's insurance company today admitting liability so that's a positive. The letter was wrongly addressed but that's a minor point I suppose (our excellent postman wrote the correct house number on it).

No doubt matters will stagnate a bit over the next week or so, given the time of year, but hopefully it won't take them all too long to sort things out after the holidays.

from the sounds of it you may just get a new van out of this or if your really unlucky you may get a nice newly rebuilt van out of it which will probably be more or less just like a new one with all the warranty repairs to be done as they occur.:thumb:

a buy back and sell on as salvage could make a few bob, even Terry could be interested then no storage problem.

::bigsmile: It would have to be cheap I only use new bits in my vans-I could always use SH bits in one to sell though :winky:

It's alway's nice when the other side admit liability even when there is no way it was not their fault.

I pray all goes well for you Graham ....:winky:
