Just had my insurance renewal from Caravan Guard, £313.00(that includes Breakdown, legal cover, not forgetting‘premium tax)! Is this high?

I looked on compare the market this year and was surprised how cheap it came out. Never heard of the broker but the underwriter is aegis. £190 fully comp incl legal protection and protected no claims.

I found exactly the same!

As my current policy is also underwritten by Aegis, I used it as a bargaining tool and got £35 off my renewal price 😀

Obviously more accidents in that make of skoda than that make of motorhome. That doesn't surprise me that much I bet a lot more cars are out in the ice and snow than motorhomes

That's about half what mine was, but I have no NCD and 1 accident in a car to my name.

I think having access to an alternative vehicle and restricted mileage (6k) together with a £500 voluntary excess helped keep ours down.

Like others on here, have swapped to Aegis and saved quite a bit following a hefty increase in my renewal quote. Didnt know at the time of booking, but the policy includes a free Nano Tracker. Fitting the tracker is compulsory so could have done with knowing before I'd done the deal... but, have now fitted it and it seems to work ok. Joked that this would enable others to check where I am... but a bright orange van is hardly difficult to spot.

Have a peek online at Martin Lewis' tricks foe lowering insurance (legally, just by renaming or tweaking few bits....cant recall them all but one for instance being your job, few variations of names for the same job, one of which could save some £s)
We paid in Jul with Performance Direct c£270 inc my DAD on the insurance (that upped it c£30) bearing in mind, never owned a MH before that point and had a no fault accident couple of years ago in the car.
They're quite competitive so may be worth checking with them
