Insurance for belongings (1 Viewer)

Hi. Where can one get insurance for household and personal belongings kept in a motorhome, on a standalone basis? ie without being part of household insurance. I have some cover as part of my motorhome insurance, but that does not cover personal things eg camera, laptop etc. Thanks

We do this by nominating the items we want covered under the "all risks" section of our home and content policy. It is my understanding that this is probably the most economic apprach but I am sure that someone will be along soon to argue the exact opposite.

Thanks but that is my problem. If you don’t have a home policy, can you get a stand-alone insurance for motorhome contents and all risks?

In those circumstances I would probably go to a local insurance broker and see what they could put together for me, rather than try and buy on-line where there is a limited range of "off-the-shelf" products on offer.
