Insurance and tax

Hi we are in the process of buying our Toyota hilux micro warrior.
The problem is, its an American import on British plates .. it is a classic also.

I’m asking how we go about insuring it. We don’t really need it on Spanish plates as we will be traversing Europe.
If that makes sence please help

What I haven’t mention we and the hilux are in Spain

You do know that keeping on UK plates means you need to visit the UK for its annual MOT and need UK road tax which means UK insurance to get tax.

I think it depends if you are a resident of Spain or just holidaying there, if the former then AFAIK it can only be registered in Spain. gus-lopez might be able to advise.
