The oldest motorhome handbook which Elddis still have on-line is the 2003 one Link Removed but I don't know to what extent that is valid for a 1987 vehicle.

If you could supply the specific Elddis Autostratus model then somebody may have a similar van and be able to help.

Alternatively try a Google search for the specific model as there might be information out there.

Hi Paul

welcome

we have not been on here long, but its well worth spending the £10 to get full access. there is an excellent search feature, put in autostratus and quite a few threads will come up. That search is an excellent feature as a first point of call as there is tons of information already on here.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to Fun.

Is there an on board charger for the leisure Battery? I had a 1994 Eldiss Voyager once that only charged the battery whilst the engine was running, the charger was an optional extra.

What part of Bristol are you we may be close.

Hi Lunarman....The previous owner said we can charge the leisure battery by flicking a switch and it will charge it with the engine running ?
We are in Portishead, junc19 off M5.

Paul,

These people may be able to give you some advice. There are some copies of zig unit manuals on the site. I have had a quick look but they do not appear to be the one you describe.

p.s. we are not far from Almondsbury interchange

I just want to know what the switches in the 2 pictures posted on here are for !

I know it is an 87 model but surely you all have basically the same switches ??

You are being quite impatient Paul.....send the pictures to the address above I gave you.

This guy is an ex MH electrician and will probably be able to help you.

Just heard from Steve....His field is plug in devices....He says mine is a zig unit..

So I should be asking for zig instuctions and says that the 2 large switches could be for the mains hook up and fridge ??

And the 2 small black switches could be for the leisure battery and pump ??

What I suggest is that you try to pull the unit out and look for a serial no/type plate.

there should be something at the back that gives you an idea of which particular model it is.
