Having not been able to find someone to design and install a Pull Out in our Kon-Tiki 599 we went DIY.
As a 1st go it is a little "over engineered":

1. Hyundai P3800 generator - With limited garage access @ 58db the quietest UK sourced generator we could find and need for exhaust location. At 3.8kw the top end of power needs when using dual ring inductions hob.
Alternative: Blackline Power 5600E 4kw Inverter Petrol Generator Electric Start Quiet 53db – H530mm too large for Kon-Tiki 599 garage access

2. VADANIA 1500mm Ultra heavy-duty drawer runners with Lock #VD2576 1-Pair, max load 130-220kg. A longer and with greater max than potentially needed but we wanted to be sure generator clear door for refuelling, which is on the top.
Alternative: 900 or 1000mm & lower max load runners would have worked but just wanted to be sure.
Using 1500 we still have space for a further 500mm of drawer to be fitted otherwise it is space that can be filled from the other side.

3.Heavy Duty Metal Drip Tray 3ft x 2ft - Larger than needed but given the generators weight and runners suitable for 1500mm draw this was the best option we could find.

4. 25mm Marine ply for base boards and upstands

5. Fixed in through chassis by replacing original 4 anchor points with longer bolts.

6. A selection of bolt/nyloc nuts and screw.

7. I added isolated switch (Red) outward facing for easy of use.

Todo: Plan is for 4 x 1”nylon straps round top carry handles, trapped between 2 x 1” penny washers to tray fixing bolts left and right.

Learnings: I cut both the floor plates the same width, while both are fixed securely, optimal would have been left floor plate narrower and right wider. Overall, this would mean less “wood” and weight.
Runners clear door seal 3mm but tray lightly rubs of top of door seal, when generator installed, but with only 4mm clearance at the top not a lot can be done about that.

Have you considered the impact the increased weight of the installation will have on your payload ?

I would add another strap across (side to side) to secure the genny to prevent any movement fore/aft in the garage when driving as the ones you have at present will not do that.

I have a friend who is in the Motorway Police in Cheshire and also a tugger. He has told be that motorhomes with large overhangs, like Kontiki's are the first ones they pull. They just look overweight.

Yes, it's on Alko chassis so Gross 4250kg. Checked last year, 65kg under all loaded, 25% fresh water and 50% diesel, when we went to Spain.
Extimated 30kg under with added wood and runners.
About the same as a couple of EBikes

Remind your friend many KonTiki are on Alko Chassis so are lower to the road anyway, even when empty/correctly loaded.

I would have a dropdown leg to spread the load. Does the moho vibrate much when it's running?

nice job but can’t wait to see the you tube video when you forget to retract it before pulling off😄
Ah we have implimented a cunning plan, not just for the pull out but used all the time for departure checks.
Reusable Strong Magnet Silicone Twist Ties Multi Color Cord Magnetic Cable Clips (10 Colors-20Pack)
Amazon product ASIN B07Z3FVKC4When we stop we put 1 clip on a garage door handle, the other on the steering wheel, one on gas valve when turned on other on steering wheel.
Then the same for all the things we need to check/undo before leaving, roof vents, electrical hook up etc.
Then when we come to leave we simple pair them closing, locking, disconnecting, etc.
Works better for us that a written tick list and pretty much foolproof.
Until evolution creates a better fool: Spend 40 minutes looking for one before finding it in the fridge holding the clingfilm onto a part tin of beans.

How do you deal with the exhaust?
The exhaust is facing out so 500mm outside van so should be far enough away.
Would not use will "sleeping".
We do have piping and silencer from a diesel heater that we can add to move it further away and have looked at putting a plastic screen over garage entrance.
Having used several RV's in US they just vent to the ground under the van.
