Good Morning fellow members.

Not on my camper but on my everyday Scudo Van, the windscreen on the inside is contaminated and no matter what I use I just can't seem to get it steak/smear free.
As soon as I have cleaned it you can run your finger over it and it leaves a smudge effect.

When the sun is on it TBH it is dangerous to drive as I can't see out of it, what can anyone recommend to do the job.

I have tried the normal window cleaning sprays, neat vinegar, half a lemon, glass polish, but nothing will cut through the fogging to leave me with a clear screen

I have used mehylated spirits with a wadge of paper towel in the past but don't do in bright sunlight, best done in the shade.

Karcher* window vac every time. Even on the car. Needs a bit of practise and the long blade to get that awkward bottom bit done but works well

* other brands are available for the cheapskates**.....

**no cheapskates were hurt in the making of this post :D

Try cleaning normally and then polishing off the glass with scrunched up dry newspaper. I have no idea why but it often works yet you'd think the ink would rub off onto the screen.

I would second general 'window cleaner' and then newspaper- bit of elbow grease (y)

Meths.....and it smells nice...

Yes you are correct it’s a spelling mistake duh.

Give up smoking, A previous boss's car screen inside, needed to washed with hand cleaner/ degreaser, to shift the goo he had on his screen.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll give some a go and see if any work for me.

I've never smoked, but no idea about any previous owners.
