Thanks for the post, I have spoken to Glossop, Outdoor revolution and Blue Diamond who I think are the suppliers, but they insist the metal rod used in their T1 and T3 awning (which they sent me) is suitable. I pointed out the "T2" does not have the required re-enforced fixing points in the roof but they said it was OK to use, however they did not reply when I asked how a thin ended bit of metal would hold between an air tube and the thin roof skin without either falling out or piercing the roof in windy conditions. Still waiting for their answer 2 months later!
