I've never not owned a Land Rover, my latest Lanny is a 2013 Defender worth about the same now as it was new. I just recently missed out on a 1972 2a by haggling too hard, It was a local guy selling a father in law's estate, I was confident over the period of a week or so get another £500 off, then someone bought it full price from under my nose. I was gutted. That will teach me.

I was really excited by the plans for the Grenadier keeping our icon alive. Esp glad that it was going to be made in Wales. I was so disappointed that they chose to make them abroad that I wouldn't buy one on principle.

Yes I know my beloved Landrover is owned by Tata, but a French made Lanny, nah I'll keep my British/Indian icon thanks, It should see me out.

I do wonde about the roof top switches in practical use.

Can you look up at the switches and keep an eye on the road?

Roads? There wouldn't be many roads where I'd want to driving this.... :)

Don't think any of the switches in the roof are of the ones you need to look at or use whilst driving.
Another vehicle with BMW engines (aka Morgan and other)
Personally i love it.............would i buy one, very much doubt as it's not a type of vehicle we want or need.
HRH is very happy with her Indian car, A Velar P300S.
Respect to that poor man Radcliffe for taking on LR in courts to get the design approved. LR fought hard to stop it.

My defender is the only vehicle I’ve bought that has appreciated, I hated the new version when it first arrived but one of the local farmers has just bought a black 90 and I’ve got to admit I’m quite taken with it, although he did say no bleeding sheep’s gaan in this yan asa lad🐑🐏

Dacia are meant to be doing a rebadged Lada Niva by 2023 according to Jonny Smith on The Late Brake show.
Drove a Niva jeep a few years ago in Greece, actually it was a very capable off roader!

I don’t think they are connected, there just there so you go all fighter pilot before you drive off! Adds to the ambience

Interesting they've named it after a world tour cycling team.

I believe that there were Grenadiers before Ineos?

Once a Grenadier, always a Grenadier

The Grenadier Guards is one of the oldest and most iconic regiments in the British Army. Whether they are fighting on the front line or guarding a Royal Palace, members of the Regiment are renowned for their determination, loyalty and grit.

Very disappointed that they decided to build it away from Wales, as first promised.

The move to their factory made commercial sense. But if you want to build a British Icon, for me it least, it needed to be built here. I could have lived with them bringing Chassis in from Portugal as per their plan, but the final build in Wales would have been good for everyone.
