Just started!
When we purchased our motorhome it came with a DWT/Foxwellproducts awning (if that's what they're called)

The motorhome has a FIAMMA awning and the front piece of the awning slides in nicely :)
Yesterday we attempted to work out how it all went together but I believe there are many parts missing as all we could fit was the front piece.

There was a selection of poles (some broken) and others that didn't appear to be part of the kit :) There were no attachments for the FIAMMA unit so nowhere for the poles to attach!

I contacted DWT but they stated it wasn't one of their awnings and that it was a Foxwellproducts awning, of course Foxwellproducts no longer exist! All the fabrics of the awning look to be in good condition and rather than buy a completely new unit I wonder if it's possible to buy some generic/universal poles and fittings?
Any suggestions?

I've got two motorhome awnings and none of the poles look like those in your picture.

Those poles look like they come off a type of (usually caravan) awning that threads onto a keder track that goes rounds the ends and top of the van, but I don't know.

Working on the basis that they are the right poles, you have two sucker ends that are intended to rest against the bodywork. Each one has a sliding lengthening method with a eyebolt screw to tighten. It may be that these sit directly under the ends of your Fiamma rollout awning, inclining downwards to the two footed sections.

The two poles that are spring-connected look like they are used as a brace across the entire width of the awning.
But what I can't see is how you fit the side panels to the inclined side bars? Do the side panels have a keder cord running along the top, or are there velcro/buckle tapes or similar?

.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try and answer in the order of your reply :)
The front piece as you suggested slides into the FIAMMA awning leading front using one of the 3 keder cords the lot being supported by the FIAMMA support legs, other than that, there are no other keder tracks - so far so good :)

The two poles with suckers on obviously 'stick' to the van body but there's no way to attach to the FIAMMA front piece!

On the two sides there's a foam filled vertical that I guess protects the van wall from the pole? There's no obvious side supports and no obvious way of fixing them - unless the poles with suckers are supposed to be that support!

The two poles joined by springs have no way of attaching or supporting.

I'm sorta prepared to purchase any poles/supports or FIAMMA parts to provide proper supports or, perhaps it's simply not do'able!

The two 'feet' poles are clearly intended to stand vertically right next to the van wall. There must be some way to secure the side panels to it, and to the Fiamma legs.

The two spring joined poles look like they connect together as a long bracer pole, probably clipping onto the sucker poles using the little white 'C' ends.

The issue is how do the inclined/horizontal sucker poles, connect to the two vertical feet poles?

If there is no way to connect them, then something is missing (yeah I know, no sh__ Sherlock!!). In which case, at the very least, you have a pretty cool sun shade!

I have a Thule G3 Residence and it is very clear how it all works. Someone, somewhere must have the instructions, if only to show what is missing.

Sorry.

Thanks DDJC
Some idea from someone who knows more about awnings is a great help - thanks for the suggestions :)

One of the uprights with 'feet' is clearly broken (the broken piece lying next to it).

If I could buy parts that would work & attachment brackets then I could save some money :)

If only someone on here had a Foxwellproduct awning like this, I'm sure it would be an enormous help!

Can you amend the title of your thread to say Foxwell products awning, just a thought. Might attract attention.
Good point but I don't think there's anyway I can change the title now! It's rather strange that it has DWT Zelte badges and they claim to have nothing to do with it.

There is a smaller one for sale on ebay <Broken link removed>

It appears to have more poles than yours. Perhaps the seller may be able to help you. May be he'll have an instruction book.

If it was mine I would bin it too much trouble . Bit of a waste but you could search and buy for bits for ages and it still might not function. Save your money and buy a used one, there are always loads for sale.

I'm in agreement, if there's no easy solution, new/second it'll be. The search will begin :)

The Ebay seller mentioned above is in exactly the same position as me - purchased a motorhome with same awning, no instructions and parts missing.
