Coronavirus: Social gatherings above six banned in England from 14 September

A new legal limit will be enforced through a £100 fine but will not apply to schools or workplaces.

Guess this is why the upcoming Adventure Overland Show have had to go so far with their COVID Safe measures which will be expensive so do wonder if other ones will be prepared to do the same.

Motorhomes that happen to be in the same place are not considered a gathering( Scotland rules) unless they are taking part in group activities. Hopefully it might be the same in England.

There was still a ban on gatherings of more than 30 people so I guess the shows must have the work-around sussed.

Shows like the Overland one are not something we would normally attend , but we are going to give it a shot this year. One reason being simply getting out and about . For another , wanting a few ideas for our van , that fit in with "hopefully" being able to to do a bit more off grid type travel in the future.

Might be the problem... I understand you want to get out and about...fair enough... but why to a crowded organized event . Get out and about and enjoy the remarkably beautiful country side we have and support the small sites where you can socially distance.
Use internet to get what you need to off grid.... you probably will anyway once you get ideas from "The Show".

I didn’t see this before . Makes sense now . So this event is classed more like a theme park . Lots of people in the same place , enjoying the experience and maintaining social distancing . It isn’t however a gathering . These new rules are so hard to work out . Thanks Janine

Unless you have more than 6 from at least 2 households in either a motorhome or a tent. marquee or awning I can't see a problem with rallies or meets. They are not stopping people working or going in bars, cafes or restaurants!
